Located at Kattendijkdok-Oostkaai 12, 12Antwerp occupies a former Art Nouveau warehouse from 1907, designed by Liège architect Xavier Hanson and renovated by AIM Architecture in 2023. Throughout its history, 12 has been a place where people, goods, ideas and new opportunities came together. A place of movement, culture, collaborations and encounters.
During the visit you can enjoy the exhibitions by Studio DŌ and Thibeau Scarcériaux.
Bouquet Belge —Studio DŌ
What colours the ground of the Belgian landscape flourishes above. At the heart of Bouquet Belge is Table Rouge Belge, a table assembled from red marble slabs sourced from different Belgian homes, bringing together fragments of domestic histories in a shared setting. Around this table, Studio DŌ brings botanical forms into dialogue with Belgian stone, cultivation and taste. Through collaborations, including with Jeroen Van Vaerenbergh, The Food Archaeologist, the project explores cultural expressions that bring people together.
Ouroboros —Thibeau Scarcériaux
Ouroboros begins with a snake skin Thibeau Scarcériaux found over ten years ago, now becoming an exhibition about transformation and the uncertainty of letting go.Through glass, skin and light, he explores how we outgrow former versions of ourselves while carrying traces of what we leave behind.
