Museum Plantin-Moretus
Renewed permanent collection
Reopens 5 December 2026
Following a renovation period, Museum Plantin-Moretus reopens on 5 December with a renewed permanent collection and an updated visitor route. Step into three hundred years of printing history at Museum Plantin-Moretus. More than a museum, this remarkably preserved house was home and workplace to nine generations of the Plantin-Moretus family—revolutionary printers behind groundbreaking atlases, royal Bibles and scientific books. Discover centuries-old volumes, historic living quarters and the world’s two oldest printing presses, all under one roof in Antwerp.
New guided tours offer different ways to explore the museum: discover the women behind the family business, delve into the historic house and the Plantin-Moretus family, or choose a highlights tour. Tours can be booked from mid-October.
