In this exhibition, Eline Van Riet and Elke Matthijs bring their works together, each from their own artistic practice. Different disciplines meet and enter into a subtle dialogue. Both artists work intuitively and are guided by feeling, reflection and stillness.
Their creations move between the visible and the intangible, touching on themes such as time, change and transience. The works start from a deep love for nature: its fragility, its silence, its ability to continue to grow, despite everything. At the same time, there is unrest simmering. Landscapes change, species disappear, balances shift. What was once taken for granted turns out to be fragile. The works bear traces of that tension, between admiration and concern, between beauty and loss. The works ask questions about our place in the world and the choices we make.
