11—14.12.25 Antwerp Expo
Founded in 1945 by Aimé Maeght, Galerie Lelong first showcased modernist masters like Miró, Calder, Chagall, Giacometti, Tàpies, Bacon and Chillida. Restructured in 1981 under Jacques Dupin, Daniel Lelong and Jean Frémon, the gallery expanded to include Alechinsky, Bourgeois, Klapheck and Kounellis. Its New York branch, founded in 1985 and directed by Mary Sabbatino since 1990, introduced key Latin American artists including Jaar, Meireles and Sánchez. Today, the gallery represents leading figures such as Hockney, Scully, Kiki Smith, Spero and Toguo, develops monumental public sculptures, and has published over 180 catalogues, including Miró’s raisonné. In Paris, a print space and a Matignon venue (2018) complete its activities.
