BARBÉ opened its first space in Ghent in 2018, transforming an old horse stable and garage into two exhibition spaces. In 2021, a third white cube was added, bringing the total to 150 sq.m. In 2023, BARBÉ opened a second 105 sq.m. location in Ghent to present two exhibitions simultaneously. The gallery represents both emerging and established international artists, focusing on curated exhibitions that create a total experience and participates in international art fairs. BARBÉ supports its artists throughout their careers, publishes books since 2023, and regularly collaborates with other galleries to expand visibility and reach.
