SUPPAN gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition featuring Belgian artist Laura Limbourg (b. 1996). Limbourg’s work delves into themes of social behaviour, interpersonal dynamics, and the exploration of individual and collective value systems across various cultures. In her latest works, Limbourg adopts a more introspective approach, incorporating autobiographical elements. Self-portrayal and symbolic imagery are intertwined in these paintings, exploring mythological and cultural themes while revealing both inner and outer vulnerabilities. Limbourg’s distinctive naïve painting style allows these independent yet intricately connected storylines to unfold across her canvases, much like a visual diary, offering viewers a glimpse into her evolving artistic journey.
