For Art Antwerp, Settantotto proposes a solo presentation of works by Bert De Geyter (b. 1984, Ghent). The works will be selected from the series “Out of love”, made with oil stick on paper and linen. Each of Bert De Geyter’s works is a memento mori, a celebration of death – a topic that the Western world tends to hide from view. De Geyter doesn’t escape the brutal reality of life but radically accepts it.  His materials and gestures are those of a passionate draftsman. The colour palette is black and white with all its nuances and gradations, referring to all possible colours.
