At the fair, Galerija MENO NIŠA will represent three upcoming multi-disciplinary artists, working mainly with video, painting, installation and performance. Paulius Šliaupa, Deividas Vytautas and Jurgis Tarabilda are from the same generation, started their studies in Vilnius and exhibited internationally. Paulius Šliaupa‘s works explore the relationship between culture and nature. Although abstract, his paintings come from natural phenomena. Deividas Vytautas’s movie prints will be on view at the booth. His visuals intricately weave a narrative that explores themes of intimacy, desire, submission, control and violence. The starting point in Tarabilda’s latest works are intuitive gestures – lines, their combinations and scribbles, inspired by sheets of paper used by people to test pens in stationery shops. These seemingly random marks are full of spontaneity, revealing the raw essence of creative expression.
