To mark the 50th anniversary of Suske en Wiske, the De Warande cultural center organized a group exhibition in 1995 on these Flemish comic book heroes and their ambiguous relationship with contemporary Belgian art. Exactly thirty years later, the M HKA picks up where it left off with two exhibitions in which we once again allow the iconic Suske en Wiske albums to resonate with the work of visual artists from different generations.
